The Emergency Ministry named the preliminary cause of the incident on the Zelenaluzhskaya Line of the Minsk Metro as a short circuit in an electrical unit in the tunnel near the platform at Slutsky Hostinets station, with no subsequent fire.
Rescuers are inspecting the site. The circumstances of the incident are being established.
As previously reported, train services on the line were suspended due to a smell of burning at the station. Services were restored in both directions, but trains were not stopping at Slutsky Hostinets station.
