Minsk Metro Trains Halted on Zelenaluzhskaya Line Due to Smell of Burning

On August 28, train services on the third (Zelenaluzhskaya) line of the Minsk Metro were suspended. The reason was a smell of burning in a technical room at one of the stations.

Emergency Ministry crews arrived at the scene and an inspection is underway, the Minsk Metro reports.

The incident occurred at Slutsky Hostinets station, according to eyewitnesses.

As of 10:44 p.m., train services had resumed. Trains were running in both directions from Yubileynaya Ploshchad station to Nemorshansky Sad station, temporarily bypassing Slutsky Hostinets station.

At 10:52 p.m., train services were fully restored. The line is operating normally.
