Political prisoner Aliaksei Halauko given six more months in prison

Political prisoner and anarchist Aliaksei Halauko (Aleksei Golovko) was sentenced on September 5 under Article 411 of the Criminal Code (“malicious disobedience to the lawful demands of the prison administration”). He received an additional six months of imprisonment, according to “Anarchist Black Cross Belarus”.

Halauko was detained in March 2021 in connection with the so-called “anarchists’ case.” He was accused of creating and leading a criminal organization, establishing and participating in an extremist group, defacing buildings and damaging property, and engaging in actions that grossly violated public order.

In September 2022, Halauko was sentenced to 12 years in a high-security penal colony and fined 700 base units.
