A pensioner from Hrodna discovered that money had gone missing from her apartment and called the police. Officers from the district police department determined that no theft had occurred and found the hidden money.

The pensioner was convinced that she had become a victim of a crime. The responding police officers inspected the apartment and concluded that there had been no theft. It turned out that the woman had hidden the money in a safe place but had forgotten where.

Through joint efforts, the hiding place was found among household items, bed linen and newspapers, the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee’s Department of Internal Affairs reports.
