The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) has announced an extension of flight restrictions along the borders with Belarus and Ukraine.
The restrictions will be in force from June 10 to September 9 and were introduced at the request of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces branches “due to the need to ensure national security.”
The restricted zone extends up to an altitude of 3 km and does not affect passenger aircraft operating at higher altitudes.
A complete ban on flights will apply within the restricted area during nighttime hours, with the exception of military aircraft.
During daytime hours, the regime will be less restrictive, allowing flights under certain conditions and with military authorization.
Flight restrictions in the border area were first introduced in September 2025 and have been extended every three months since then. It should be recalled that in September last year, Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by Russian drones.
