Phones, Headphones and Smart Glasses: 14 Applicants Removed From Entrance Exams in Belarus

On the first day of entrance examinations in Belarus, 14 applicants were removed from examination rooms: nine from the centralized exam and four from centralized testing.

The reasons included bringing in and using mobile phones, headphones and cheat sheets, the Belarusian State Control Committee reported. One applicant attempted to use smart glasses. All examination results were annulled.

The preliminary results of the first day were summarized by the State Control Committee together with the State Commission overseeing the admissions campaign. No serious violations were recorded.

The authorities reminded applicants that they are allowed to bring only a passport, an admission pass and a gel pen with black ink to the examinations. Monitoring is set to continue in the coming days at all testing locations.
