On Freedom Day, Virtual Hosting in Belarus Will Be Closed to Users From Abroad

The Operational and Analytical Center under the President of Belarus has identified a threat of destructive воздействия in cyberspace during the period from March 24 to March 26, 2026. Therefore, from 8:00 p.m. on March 24 until 8:00 a.m. on March 26, 2026, access to websites on virtual hosting (shared hosting) from outside the Republic of Belarus will be restricted. Belarusian hosting companies sent such a notice to their clients.

For example, the hosting provider HB.by said that organizations providing hosting services are required to take protective measures.

“All websites will continue to operate normally for users inside the country. Control panels, email, databases and internal services will remain fully available.

If your resources use integrations with external platforms (payment systems, APIs of foreign services, external forms and widgets), they may operate unstably during the specified period.

If your DNS record does not yet point to HB.BY servers, we recommend doing this in advance. This will help minimize possible inconvenience,” the statement said.
