Poland’s Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has published data on insured foreign nationals as of the end of May 2026. The number of Belarusian citizens increased compared with April.
As of the end of May, 143,030 Belarusian citizens were registered in Poland’s social insurance system. Compared with April, the number increased by 1,201.
Overall, 1.329 million foreign nationals were registered with ZUS at the end of May. The total number of insured foreigners increased by 13,000 compared with April.
Ukrainian citizens remain the largest group of foreign nationals working in Poland. Nearly 891,500 were registered with ZUS, an increase of 10,000 from April. Belarusians ranked second, followed by Indian citizens in third place with 25,260 registered.
