The Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant (MZKT) has unveiled the MZKT-690400 armoured chassis. The all-wheel-drive 6×6 chassis is designed to accommodate various weapons systems and military equipment.
According to the State Authority for Military Industry, both the cab and the engine compartment are fully armoured.
“The fully welded armoured cab features a suspended floor and spall liner protection, which will protect the crew from blast waves and fragments in the event of an explosion. The fuel tanks are self-sealing, making them resistant to fuel leaks and fires caused by bullets or shrapnel,” the authority said.
Officials also highlighted the vehicle’s compact cab and low-frame design, which facilitate concealment. In addition, the hydropneumatic suspension allows ground clearance to be reduced for transport aboard Il-76 aircraft.
The chassis is powered by a YaMZ-536 inline six-cylinder diesel engine producing 312 horsepower, paired with a six-speed hydromechanical transmission developed by MZKT. The maximum speed is 90 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with a video surveillance system and a parking assistance system featuring a high-resolution monitor.
