More than 140 million hryvnias in bail for former head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office Andriy Yermak had been raised by the morning of Monday, May 18. The funds were transferred through around 200 payments, including symbolic transfers of one kopeck each.

This was reported by sources cited by Ukrainska Pravda and confirmed by Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC).

According to the court, as of 9 a.m., the required bail amount of 140 million hryvnias had been fully collected.

Sources told the publication that the total amount transferred exceeded 154 million hryvnias. The payments included both large transfers and minimal contributions from individual citizens of one kopeck each.

Andriy Yermak’s lawyer Ihor Fomin told Ukrainska Pravda that he was heading to the HACC to obtain confirmation that the bail had been paid.

“We’re on our way, we’ll get it,” Fomin told the publication.

Earlier, the court imposed bail as a preventive measure for the former head of the Presidential Office. Other details of the case have not been officially disclosed in detail.
