Minsk Police Arrest Bag Snatcher Four Years After Theft

Four years ago, an unidentified man stole a Minsk resident’s bag at a bus stop. He was arrested only this year, the Minsk City Police Department reported.

The woman told police that her bag containing sports shoes, clothing, headphones and a mobile phone had been stolen at the bus stop. Police identified the suspect but were unable to arrest him because he had left Belarus.

Four years later, the suspect returned to Minsk. He was arrested. The man confessed to the theft and fully compensated the victim for the damage.
