Ministry of Information Updates List of “Extremist Materials”

The ministry has updated its list of “extremist materials”. Several court rulings issued on May 15 recognising information products as “extremist” have been added.

The following were included in the list:

• Threads accounts “Hramada ‘Kalinoutsy’”, “Vasiliy Pleshkunov”, “Ekaterina Erusalimskaya”;
• Instagram accounts “alice.neumann_soul”, “dzikawicki”;
• TikTok account “@sashka_1931”.

It should be recalled that the Belarusian authorities use extremism-related accusations to target opponents of Lukashenka and dissent more broadly.
