Mine clearance on routes for a humanitarian mission in Oleshky has been completed, and the humanitarian convoy is ready to depart. This was reported by Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

According to him, the convoy is expected to arrive at the city’s central hospital, where civilians will receive the necessary assistance. Those wishing to leave Oleshky are expected to be given an opportunity to do so by 14:00, while the distribution of humanitarian aid is scheduled to begin after 14:30.

Lubinets said representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the United States had gathered to coordinate further action as part of the mission. Journalists from all three countries are also present at the site.

The humanitarian mission is being carried out jointly with Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Yana Lantratova, with the mediation and coordination of US First Lady Melania Trump. Its aim is to deliver aid to civilians and facilitate the safe departure of those wishing to leave the city.

Earlier, it was reported that a Russian delegation had arrived in Homiel, followed later by a Ukrainian delegation led by Lubinets, which crossed through the Novaya Huta checkpoint. A crew from the US television network Newsmax also accompanied the Ukrainian ombudsman. The Belarusian side provided transport for the Ukrainian delegation. The delegations met at Homiel airport, after which both left the city by air.
