MAZ Increases Bus Sales In Russia In January-July

MAZ truck sales on the Russian market remained roughly at last year’s level in January-July, while bus sales increased. Data from Avtostat-Info indicate this.

In July, MAZ truck sales in Russia rose 36.7% year-on-year to 298 units. At the same time, sales for the first seven months fell 2.1% to 1,780 units.

The Russian truck market totaled 4,785 units in July, 11 fewer than a year earlier. In the first seven months, it contracted by 14% to 29,300 units.

MAZ sold just eight buses in July this year, compared with two a year earlier. In the first seven months, sales increased by 94% to 260 units.

The Russian bus market as a whole contracted by 22% in July to 686 units, while sales for the first seven months fell by 1% to 5,006 units.
