The Prosecutor General’s Office has sent to the Minsk City Court a criminal case against the director of Belavezhskaye OJSC and a representative of several business entities. They are accused of accepting and giving bribes.
According to the prosecution, the former CEO received bribes in the USDT stablecoin from a representative of five commercial organizations between August 2024 and July 2025. A total of 365,030 tokens were transferred to him, equivalent to the same amount in U.S. dollars, or 1.2 million rubles.
“The digital assets were transferred through another person to a crypto wallet belonging to the official. The accused received the bribe for organizing an uninterrupted supply of meat products in the quantities required by the business entities represented by the bribe-giver. The financial benefit was also transferred in exchange for the enterprise purchasing wheat from them for the agricultural sector”, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
The defendants pleaded guilty. The recipient of the bribe also paid the proceeds obtained through criminal activity.
The defendants remain in custody.
