MART Issues Demand to Ozon

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) has raised concerns with the Ozon marketplace and issued a formal demand to the platform.

The move was prompted by the sale of vehicles described as “mopeds” with maximum speeds ranging from 70 to 100 km/h and engine capacities of 125 cc or more. Such specifications correspond to motorcycles.

“The participation of such vehicles in road traffic poses safety risks. In order to restrict the sale of these products, MART has instructed the online platform to limit the ability to view these products from the territory of the Republic of Belarus, as well as to prevent their ordering and delivery to the country,” the ministry’s press service said.
