The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has decided to introduce a “requirement for Belarusian goods in retail assortments.” MART said the measure is aimed at national security.
“In accordance with the Development Plan for Trade and Public Catering in the Republic of Belarus, the share of domestically produced goods should reach 58% by the end of 2026.
Following the results of the first half of 2026, the share increased by 0.1 percentage points to 54.6%.
In this regard, MART adopted Resolution No. 48 of Aug. 20, 2026, which clarifies the approach to the availability of domestically produced goods”, the ministry said.
The level of the requirement was not specified.
