The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has reported the removal of Nivea products from sale at the Expobel market.
According to the ministry’s press service, the monitoring was conducted following complaints from members of the public posted online.
Cases of Nivea products being sold were identified, including by individual entrepreneurs and the private company Service-Rai. The latter had already been held liable for the same violation in February 2026. At the time, 63 items of the brand’s products were removed from sale.
A ban on products made by Beiersdorf, including the Nivea, Eucerin, La Prairie, Labello, Hansaplast, Florena, 8X4, Skin Stories, Gammon, Tesa, Chaul, Coppertone, Hidrofugal and Stop The Water While Using Me brands, was introduced in April 2021. Products made by Škoda and Liqui Moly were also banned at the time.
Earlier, three companies refused to sponsor the Ice Hockey World Championship if it was held in Belarus. As a result, Minsk was stripped of the right to host the championship. In response, the government banned the import and sale of the companies’ products on the orders of Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
The ban on products from the three companies was most recently extended until the end of 2027.
