Aliaksandr Lukashenka has appointed Major General Uladzimir Bely as Belarus’s deputy defense minister. The corresponding decree was signed on July 8. Before his appointment, Bialy served as head of the Main Directorate for Combat Training of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
Under a separate decree, Major General Aliaksandr Naumenka was dismissed from the post of deputy defense minister. He was discharged from military service into the reserve with the right to retain his military uniform and insignia, the Defense Ministry’s press service said.
