Lukashenka Pardons 32 People

Thirty-two people have been pardoned in Belarus, including 28 who had been convicted of what the authorities describe as “extremist offences.” The relevant decree was signed by Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

Those pardoned include 20 women and 12 men.

“The decision was made on the basis of the principle of humanity towards the convicted persons and their families. All of them petitioned for clemency, admitting their guilt and expressing remorse,” Lukashenka’s press service said.
