Alyaksandr Lukashenka has said that no more than 10 Oreshnik missile systems will be deployed in Belarus. He made the statement in Saint Petersburg in a conversation with Russian journalist Alexander Yunashev.
“Alyaksandr Hryhoravich, may I ask a question about Oreshnik? How many will there be in the end? They gave you a dozen, you asked the president. Did they give you a dozen? You said that Oreshnik has already gone on combat duty,” Yunashev asked Lukashenka.
“Well, a dozen will be the maximum,” Lukashenka replied.
Yunashev : “But there will be?”
Lukashenka: “Of course, there will be.”
As reported earlier, speaking at the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly on 18 December, Lukashenka said that Oreshnik had arrived in Belarus the previous day and was going on combat duty. “The first positions have been equipped with the Oreshnik missile system: it has been with us since yesterday and is going on combat duty,” he said.
