Lukashenka Makes Personnel Appointments at the Defense Ministry

Aliaksandr Lukashenka has made a series of personnel changes at the Ministry of Defense. The relevant decrees were signed on July 21, according to Lukashenka’s press service.

Major General Aliaksandr Masolau has been appointed Deputy Defense Minister for Logistics and Chief of Logistics of the Armed Forces. He previously served as First Deputy Chief of Logistics of the Armed Forces and Chief of the Logistics Staff.

Major General Andrei Burdyka has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Defense Minister for Logistics and Chief of Logistics of the Armed Forces. He has been discharged from military service into the reserve.

Major General Dzmitry Bitny has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Commander of the Western Operational Command of the Armed Forces and appointed Head of the Main Directorate for Combat Training of the Armed Forces.

Major General Aliaksandr Bas has been relieved of his duties as Commander of the North-Western Operational Command of the Armed Forces. He has been discharged from military service into the reserve upon reaching the retirement age, with the right to wear his military uniform and insignia.
