Lukashenka Invites Xi Jinping to Belarus

Aliaksandr Lukashenka congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and invited him to pay an official visit to Belarus next year.

“Your visit would lend special symbolism to the anniversary and mark the starting point for a new stage in Belarusian-Chinese relations,” Lukashenka said.

In his congratulatory message, Lukashenka noted that Belarus values “Beijing’s consistent course on the international stage, aimed at maintaining global stability.”

Relations between China and Belarus are at an unprecedented level, with intensive political dialogue between the two countries.

“Alongside the growth in trade turnover, investment cooperation is expanding, and projects in industrial cooperation that are important to our countries are being implemented. The intensification of humanitarian and cultural contacts also confirms the strength of our all-weather strategic partnership,” the message said.
