Lukashenka Begins Armed Forces Inspection, This Time Notifying Khrenin

Belarus has begun a combat-readiness inspection of one of its artillery brigades. The inspection was ordered by Aliaksandr Lukashenka, State Secretary of the Security Council Aliaksandr Valfovich said.

According to Valfovich, inspections of units in the second half of the year are now being conducted through the Defense Ministry rather than directly.

“Unlike the inspections conducted in the first half of the year, when orders were delivered directly to units, bypassing the General Staff, a feature of this inspection is that it covers the entire chain of command — from the defense minister down to the subordinate unit”, he said, BelTA reported.

The inspection focuses on the specifics of conducting combat operations under modern conditions, incorporating lessons from conflicts in Ukraine and Iran into troop training, fire engagement and decentralized command and control.

One of the centrally subordinated artillery brigades is being placed on combat alert. The relevant order was delivered to Defense Minister Viktar Khrenin.
