Decree No. 22 of January 19 “On Support for the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM)” was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal. The document enters into force upon publication and applies to relations that arose from January 1.
The decree provides that members of the BRSM elected to its governing bodies will be included in the collegiums of the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Sports, and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
The decree also provides for the financing of the BRSM in 2026. Part of this provision is classified as “for official use only.” This practice in decrees on support for the BRSM has been observed since 2012. In addition, it stipulates that the current maintenance of the BRSM’s territorial committees will be funded from local budgets.
Further changes classified as “for official use only” were introduced into the Regulations on the Procedure for Organizing Student Labour Brigades. They concern a provision that defined the procedure for calculating and paying contributions to the Social Protection Fund.
