Khrenin to Focus on Deepening Cooperation With Russian Defence Ministry

The defence ministries of Belarus and Russia are holding a joint board meeting in Minsk today. The meeting is chaired by Belarusian Defence Minister Viktar Khrenin. The Russian delegation is led by his counterpart, Andrei Belousov.

According to the press service of the Belarusian ministry, the agenda includes three main issues:

• the functioning of the regional grouping of forces of Belarus and Russia;
• the development of joint military infrastructure and the Unified Air Defence System;
• deeper cooperation between military command bodies in joint operational and combat training.
