John Coale Took Cover Under Table During Attempt on Trump

US President’s Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale was present at a dinner with Donald Trump during which a shooting occurred.

According to Coale’s wife Greta Van Susteren, he had to take cover under a table.

“My husband John Coale ….working so hard to help free political prisoners who thought they would be in prison for life! I am very proud of him…he is exhausted but nothing stops him (he went from hiding under a table at the dinner Saturday at WHCD to the next day Dulles airport to help these people!),” Van Susteren wrote on X.

It is recalled that on Saturday, April 25, a dinner for White House correspondents was held at the Washington Hill hotel in Washington with the participation of Trump and other senior officials. An armed man attempted to break into the event. He wounded a security guard and was detained. Trump was evacuated from the venue. The suspect, a 31-year-old video game developer and teacher, Cole Allen, was charged with attempting to assassinate Trump.

Earlier today, John Coale announced a 5-for-5 detainee exchange at the Belarusian-Polish border. Three Polish citizens and two Moldovan citizens were released from Belarus and Russia. It is known that Belarus handed over journalist Andrzej Poczobut and Carmelite monk Grzegorz Gawel to Poland. Russia handed over two Moldovan intelligence officers to Moldova.

Poland transferred archaeologist Alexander Butyagin to Russia. Moldova handed over former intelligence officer Alexandru Balan to Belarus and Russian citizen Nina Popova to Russia.
