Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto denied reports of possible Russian drone attacks on Italy, Spain or France published today by El Mundo.

“The alarm reported this morning by a Spanish newspaper, which suggested the possibility of attacks on Italy, Spain and France by Russian ships and drones, is unnecessary and has no basis. We are already living in difficult and ‘tense’ times, and no one needs to add fuel to the fire,” he wrote on X.

El Mundo previously reported that the CIA had allegedly warned European countries about possible Russian attacks on Spain, France or Italy. According to the newspaper, Russia plans to launch Gerbera drones from civilian vessels in the Mediterranean Sea.
