Belarus’s Interior Ministry has proposed training personnel for the UAE’s security structures and strengthening cooperation in various areas. The issue was discussed during a meeting between Belarusian Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakou and UAE Ambassador to Belarus Ibrahim Salem Mohammed Al Musharrakh.
During the meeting, Kubrakou stressed that the Interior Ministry is ready to assist in training personnel for the UAE’s security structures, as it has significant experience and an established system for preparing officers for foreign law enforcement agencies.
The interior minister also spoke in favour of deepening cooperation across several areas.
“We are ready to deepen cooperation with the UAE in various areas of law enforcement activity, including combating transnational crime, as well as in ensuring public and road safety and countering terrorism and extremism. This will undoubtedly strengthen relations between our countries”, Kubrakou said.
The UAE ambassador confirmed the participation of UAE teams in the open tactical shooting tournament among OMON operational combat units, which will take place in Belarus in June.
“During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues and outlined paths for further cooperation”, the Interior Ministry press service said.
