Insurance Companies Increase Premium Collections by 6.1 Percent in January

Insurance companies collected 267.75 million rubles in premiums in January, the Finance Ministry of Belarus reported. Compared with the first month of 2025, the volume of premiums increased by 6.1 percent.

Voluntary insurance accounted for 77.6 percent of the total, or 207.76 million rubles. Its share declined by 1.6 percentage points. Mandatory insurance made up 22.4 percent of premiums, or 59.99 million rubles.

Insurance indemnity and benefit payments amounted to 132.3 million rubles. Their ratio increased by 1.4 percentage points to 49.4 percent.
