An expert group from the International Civil Aviation Organization has arrived in Belarus. The group is conducting an audit and inspection of the state system for oversight of civil aviation flight safety.
According to the Transport Ministry, the delegation met with Transport Minister Aliaksei Liakhnovich. He said Belarus strictly complies with ICAO standards and recommended practices by incorporating them into national legislation, and that ensuring flight safety remains a priority.
He added that the Belarusian side also supports ICAO initiatives aimed at establishing an effective state system of flight safety oversight and implementing environmental sustainability in global civil aviation.
