From October 1, 2026, accommodation confirmation requirements have changed for applicants submitting documents for a tourist visa to Portugal through the Slovakia Visa Application Center.

According to VFS Global, applicants must now provide an original hotel voucher signed and stamped by a hotel representative as proof of their reservation. Bookings made through Booking.com and other online platforms are not accepted as proof of accommodation.

VFS Global warned that the original voucher bearing a signature and stamp is a mandatory document. If it is missing or does not meet the established requirements, the visa application documents may not be accepted.
