Government Approves Non-Financial Export Support Measures

The Belarusian Council of Ministers has approved a system of non-financial support for foreign economic activity through Resolution No. 154 of March 31, published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.

Comprehensive non-financial support for foreign economic activity will be provided by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Export Support Centre state enterprise.

The National Export Support Centre will work with businesses and the Council of Ministers on promoting goods and services to foreign markets and provide expert support on removing barriers, exemptions and restrictions.

The Foreign Ministry, in coordination with the first deputy prime minister, is to set annual key performance indicators for the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Export Support Centre. The ministry will also coordinate their work.

The resolution also defines the functions of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Export Support Centre, including operating the websites cci.by and export.by, managing the “Single Window for Foreign Economic Activity” electronic platform, preparing materials for visits by the prime minister and deputy prime ministers, drafting country and sectoral analytical reviews, conducting market research, organising exhibitions and national expositions, and providing training in foreign economic activity.
