In Minsk, a driver fatally struck a man who was lying in a courtyard, the city traffic police reported. The incident occurred at about 13:35 in the courtyard of building No. 9 on Haretzkaha Street.
A 46-year-old woman driving a Geely hit a person lying on the roadway. The 43-year-old man died at the scene.
Traffic police officers from the Frunzenski District Department of Internal Affairs and an investigative team are working at the scene.
As the Investigative Committee said, a criminal case has been opened against the driver under Part 2 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules or vehicle operation by a person driving a vehicle, resulting in death by negligence).
