Economic crime officers in the Viciebsk Region have uncovered a scheme involving the незаконное расходование бюджетных средств at an agricultural enterprise in the region.
As reported by the Interior Ministry’s press service, a 45-year-old head of one of the agricultural enterprises in the regional center, together with three subordinates and with the assistance of officials from other agro-industrial organizations, falsified documents. The suspects entered knowingly false information into work completion certificates for the repair of agricultural machinery that was never actually carried out. As a result, 230,000 rubles were excessively spent from the budget.
A criminal case has been opened for abuse of power or official authority. The suspects face up to 10 years in prison.
