Fragments of Unknown Aerial Object Found in Poland Near Border With Belarus and Ukraine

Metal fragments of an unidentified aerial object have been found in Włodawa County of the Lublin Voivodeship, in a forest near the village of Krzywowierzby, close to the borders with Belarus and Ukraine. A local resident discovered them about two kilometers from residential buildings, RMF24 reported.

The gray fragments measure several dozen centimeters. Some of them were embedded in a tree, while others were lying on the ground. Some pieces had inscriptions in English.

Police are working at the scene. Officers seized the fragments and secured the area where they were found. The Military Gendarmerie and the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin have been notified of the incident, police said.

The Military Gendarmerie in Lublin stated that the fragments may belong to an “allied missile” that was used to shoot down a drone in September 2025.

It should be recalled that on September 9–10 last year Russian drones repeatedly violated Polish airspace. Several of them were shot down, and some of the drones fell in the Lublin Voivodeship.
