The Council of the Republic, by Resolution No. 185-SR8/IV, has terminated the mandate of Aleh Ivanou, a member of the upper house of parliament of the eighth convocation, ahead of schedule. The document was registered today in the National Legal Internet Portal of Belarus, though it has not yet been published, and the reasons for the decision have not been disclosed.
Aleh Ivanou served as general director of Hrodna Meat Plant until the end of October 2025. Just over a week ago, it was announced that Volha Yanushka, who had previously headed the Vaŭkavysk Meat Plant for nearly four years, took over as director of the enterprise.
It is worth noting that in September and October, the Interior Ministry and the State Control Committee twice reported detentions at meat processing plants related to corruption offenses. However, in both instances, the reports came from departments in the Minsk Region.
