First Russian HPV Vaccine To Be Introduced To Belarusian Market

Russian company Nanolek has submitted a registration dossier for Russia’s first quadrivalent vaccine against human papillomavirus (HPV) in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. The company plans to obtain registration certificates in these countries from the end of 2026 through the first quarter of 2027, TASS reports.

The vaccine is claimed to protect against four types of HPV: 6, 11, 16 and 18. The drug is registered in Russia for use in children and adults aged 9 to 45.

Full-cycle production of the vaccine was launched in October 2025 at Nanolek’s facilities in Kirov Region. The drug is a joint development by Nanolek and the research and production company Kombiotech.

The first batch of the vaccine in Russia, comprising 30,000 doses, is expected to reach medical institutions at the end of September. By the end of 2026, the company plans to produce 600,000 doses. After the launch of a second production site, capacity is expected to increase to more than 3 million doses per year.
