Experimental SJ-100 Arrives In Minsk For Testing

An experimental Russian SJ-100 aircraft landed at Minsk Airport this morning.

According to the press service of the capital’s airport, specialists from PJSC Yakovlev, together with representatives of certification centers and the Aviation Register, will conduct certification tests of the autopilot system, including automatic approach and automatic landing under Category II and IIIA conditions.

“The interaction between PJSC Yakovlev and Minsk National Airport as part of the testing has been organized taking into account the airport’s technological capabilities and operational ground support. Minsk was selected as one of the locations thanks to its infrastructure, which is certified to strict international standards,” the airport’s press service said.

The SJ-100 is an import-substituted version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100.
