Emergency Ministry Summarizes Impact of Thunderstorm Front

Belarus’ Ministry of Emergency Situations has summarized the impact of severe weather that swept across the country on Monday. A thunderstorm front passed through Belarus, prompting the issuance of an orange weather alert.

According to the ministry, wind speeds reached 23 meters per second. Eight settlements in the Minsk and Mahiliou regions were affected. Roofs were damaged on two residential buildings and 16 agricultural facilities.

No injuries were reported.

Rescuers were called out to deal with the aftermath of 13 fallen trees. In Dziarzhynsk, one fallen tree damaged five vehicles.
