Workers at an enterprise in the village of Barsuki in Smaliavichy District discovered a deformed rubber container and mercury on the floor while cleaning a warehouse.
Emergency Ministry personnel arrived at the scene. Air analysis detected the presence of mercury vapours. A total of 1.2 kilograms of spilled mercury was collected. Repeat measurements showed no excess of permissible norms.
There were no casualties, the Emergency Ministry reports.
