Eight People, Including Six Children, Injured in Bus Attack — Health Ministry

According to the latest information, eight people, including six children, were injured in the drone strike on a bus carrying Belarusian children in Russia’s Bryansk Region, Belarusian Health Minister Aliaksandr Khajayeu said.

“Unfortunately, there was one fatality. At present, according to оперативе data, eight people, including six minors, have sustained injuries of varying severity. They are being treated in several hospitals in Bryansk Region. Contact has been established between the health ministers of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. All necessary steps are being taken to provide prompt assistance,” he said.

Three intensive care teams comprising 11 medical personnel have been dispatched from Belarus to Bryansk. They will assess the condition of the injured and decide whether they can be transported to Belarus. A medical helicopter has been placed on standby for possible evacuation.

“In addition, specialists of national-level medical institutions have been sent from Minsk to Bryansk. They include anaesthesiologists and intensive care physicians, paediatric surgeons, as well as specialists from the Republican Centre for Gunshot Trauma,” Khajayeu added.
