Drug Distribution Network Uncovered in Minsk, Eight Detained

A drug distribution network has been uncovered in Minsk, with eight people detained.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 20-year-old foreign national who acted as a wholesale courier was detained first. Officers seized 3.5 kilograms of mephedrone from his rented apartment.

Through him, police identified seven stash dealers — three foreign nationals and four citizens of Belarus, including two women. They collected “master stashes” from the first suspect.

“Thanks to the prompt actions of Minsk police officers, more than 15,000 lethal doses of the drug have been removed from illegal circulation,” the Interior Ministry said.

Criminal cases have been opened.
