On Aug. 17, an unidentified drone entered Moldova’s airspace. It crashed near the village of Talmaza in the Ștefan Vodă district.
According to information from Moldova’s Defense Ministry, the object was detected at 5:37 p.m. It was traveling in the Cuciurgan-Tiraspol direction. Airspace in the area was closed for 15 minutes.
The object disappeared from monitoring systems near the settlement of Talmaza in the Ștefan Vodă district. An explosion followed by a vegetation fire was recorded 3 km from Talmaza.
