Day of Dignity Held In Warsaw To Mark Sixth Anniversary Of Belarus’ 2020 Presidential Election — Photo Report

The Day of Dignity rally was held in Warsaw on Aug. 9 to mark the sixth anniversary of the 2020 presidential election in Belarus and the start of mass protests against its falsification.

The rally began at 6 p.m. near the monument to Nicolaus Copernicus on Krakowskie Przedmieście in central Warsaw. Organizers described it as a day of remembrance, solidarity and support for those who continue to stand for a free, independent and democratic Belarus.

The event was the closing public action of the “New Belarus” conference, which took place in Warsaw on Aug. 8–9 and brought together representatives of Belarusian democratic forces, civil society, former political prisoners and international partners.
