Customs Launch Criminal Case Over Evasion of Duties on Perfume Imports

The Hrodna Regional Customs has uncovered an attempt by a carrier to evade payment of customs duties on a large scale.

According to the State Customs Committee’s press service, a DAF truck arrived at the Kamenny Loh border crossing. The driver of a Lithuanian carrier presented documents for perfume valued at 3 million roubles. However, the actual value of the cargo exceeded 5 million roubles.

“This was confirmed both by the results of the inspection and by another set of documents discovered during customs control,” the State Customs Committee said.
