Polish customs officers found smuggled cigarettes in seven vehicles that crossed the Belarusian-Polish border one after another, the Polish customs service reported.
The vehicles arrived at the Bobrowniki border crossing. During inspections, customs officers discovered cigarettes hidden in engine compartments, wheel arches, roofs, and wheels. In total, more than 30,000 cigarettes were seized, with an estimated value of 31,000 zlotys (around $8,600).
The drivers — six Belarusians and one Pole — were fined a total of 58,000 zlotys ($16,000).
