A regular meeting of the Contact Group of the Belarusian democratic forces and the Council of Europe was held in Strasbourg.
According to the United Transitional Cabinet, the sides discussed the framework for future cooperation and specific projects aimed at promoting democracy and human rights with the Council of Europe’s main bodies, including the Parliamentary Assembly, the Committee of Ministers, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, and the Council of Europe Secretariat.
The participants noted the effective work of the Belarusian Coordination Council’s delegations in the Parliamentary Assembly and the Congress of the Council of Europe, and expressed confidence that this cooperation would continue under the Council of Europe’s new composition.
