Construction of the New Zialiony Bor District Near Minsk to Begin by the End of the Year

Construction of the new Zialiony Bor district near Minsk is set to begin by the end of the year, according to Minsk-Novosti.

The district will be built on the site of a former military training ground now covered by forest. In total, more than 4 million square metres of development are planned, including residential, public, and industrial buildings.

During the first phase of the district’s development through 2030, 952,000 square metres of housing will be built, enough to accommodate about 36,500 residents. The district will continue to expand in subsequent stages, with the planned area of apartment housing exceeding 2.9 million square metres.

The main transport artery serving the district will be the road linking Minsk with the airport.
