Brest Customs Intercepts Minibus Carrying Knitwear and Motorcycle Without Documents on M1 Highway

Officers of Brest Customs stopped a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus on the M1 highway after the driver attempted to illegally transport more than 110 items to Russia.

Inspectors found knitwear, motor oil, a gas grill, a motorcycle and parts of its exhaust system in the cargo compartment. The total value of the goods exceeded 125,000 rubles.

The driver, who is registered as an individual entrepreneur, said he was transporting the goods at the request of third parties but could not provide the necessary documents.

Brest Customs has opened an administrative case. The relevant article предусматривает a fine of up to 50% of the value of the goods, according to the Belarusian Customs Committee press service.
